These blades are rare treasures handmade by the now deceased Bernard Hock, America's premier bladesmith of his time. As such, no two blades are exactly the same. Bernard was very picky about the sheets of wood he would select for his blades. He then cut out the blade, attached the handle, and hand-tuned each blade with his incredible sense of touch. He was also very particular about each blade being an exact weight. His 3-ply blades are very flexible and are best suited for defensive or high control styles of play. The 5-ply blades are stiffer and best suited for all-round or attack styles of play. When these blades are gone, they're gone forever. These ping-pong paddles are great if your a beginner or a table tennis professional. Get your piece of American table tennis history.
